We had a great time! Excellent location in downtown Montpelier. Within walking distance to three penny tavern. :) the room itself was fine. We loved the breakfast. We didn't expect much for breakfast but they completely surpassed expectations! They also had fresh baked chocolate chip cookies each day! I would stay there again if in the area.
This is a beautiful, tranquil place that we have been coming to for many many years for weekends when we visit my daughter and her family in Montpelier. Its like coming home. Hope to be there again soon.
Great inn with a lovely staff. It's near great restaurants and sights. Only thing keeping rating from 5 stars is our room was on the first floor near entrance so it wasn't very private. Other locations in the ground were very private. We only stayed two night so it wasn't a big deal.
This is a pretty place, located in a pretty town. My husband and I asked for and got the comfortable bed in a quiet room that we needed. We enjoyed our tasty breakfast in the homey breakfast room.
Upon arriving, we were promptly greeted and signed in. There is a little kitchen in each section of the inn where coffee, tea, or water is available, along with freshly baked cookies! Our room was perfectly sized and decorated in a charming, Vermont B and B way. The breakfast was delicious and we were able to sit on the front veranda to enjoy it. It is located within walking distance to the quaint downtown. We were able to go to the Farmers' Market on Saturday to see the local crafts and food.
